Explore Big Valley
Airydale Retreat is located in the southern end of the Kishacoquillas Valley, or better known as Big Valley. Being home to one of the oldest Amish settlements still in existence, you're sure to see at least a couple horse drawn buggies during your visit!
Sale Day (Wednesdays)
Wednesdays in Big Valley:
Fresh produce - Baked Goods - Flea Markets - Yard Sales
If your glamping getaway at Airydale happens to fall on a Wednesday, you're in luck because it's SALE DAY in Big Valley! This is a day when farmers take livestock to the auction, families have yard sales, road side produce and bake stands pop up, and the flea market opens. The center of the action is at the Belleville Livestock Market, though if you take a drive along SR 655 (the main road though the Valley), you'll come across a variety of produce stands and yard sales.

To sweeten the deal even more, you can pick up fresh Amish made donuts any Wednesday from the Allensville Donut Shop!
