Why GLAMPING is the Ultimate post-coronavirus vacation

Updated: May 4, 2020

Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, you've been cooped up inside for many, many weeks. By now you've run out of ideas to entertain yourself. You're all caught up on your favorite TV show. There are no (live) sports to watch. You've even gone through the junk drawer... you know, where all the random things end up. You CANNOT WAIT for life to return to "normal" so you can get out of the house.

But then the question is, where do I go? I think we're all still at least a little leery of large groups of people. We may even be a little squeamish about being in areas where lots of people routinely pass through.

So with travel restrictions easing, why not try out a new unique vacation accommodation that specializes in more secluded, intimate sites?

Well, if you know anything about Glamping, which is a portmanteau of "glamorous" and "camping", you know these campsites (errr "glampsites") are known for their unique, typically remote locations. They are intentionally designed in such a way to provide an elevated, private camping experience.

In our (slightly biased) opinion, GLAMPING is the ultimate summer 2020 family vacation, especially while we continue to recover from the coronavirus pandemic.

Just think about it for a second. At Airydale, you'll have your own private Glampsite that's further away from adjacent sites than a "typical" campground. Our Glampsites come fully furnished with beds, linens, chairs, cookware, and even firewood! All you need to do is bring food and a good book. There are a TON of outdoor recreational activities in the area (detailed below) that will allow you to further reconnect with nature.

We can almost guarantee you've never heard of Airydale Pennsylvania, but it's quite the place! We're nestled in a valley of the Appalachian Mountains which features a rich heritage that is truly unique. There are a TON of outdoor adventures to embark on while staying in Central Pennsylvania, while of course maintaining all social distancing requirements. These include fishing, boating, or kayaking at Raystown Lake, hiking on one of the many trails, or checking out the local Amish produce and bake stands. We are within a 3-4 hour drive of several major cities, including Philadelphia, Pittsburg, Washington DC, New York City, and Baltimore, to name a few.

We are NOT a huge, corporate operated retreat facility. We're a family operated small business that is dedicated to providing memorable vacations through our unique accommodations. COVID-19 has caused some major headaches among small business owners. Your support during this time is deeply appreciated.

Our property is intentionally designed with a "family first" atmosphere, meaning glampers of all ages are welcome. In fact, our BRAND NEW site is sure to be a hit with our younger guests (yes, people young at heart can use the slide too!).

So as you plan your post-COVID-19 family vacation for this summer, would you consider trying Glamping at Airydale? We would absolutely LOVE to host you.
